The first day of school for the 2026–2027 school year is August 18, 2026.
New Student Enrollment
Use the link below to register new incoming students in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade.
All required information and documents must be completed and/or uploaded before an enrollment application can be processed.
If your student attended Fairbanks Elementary last school year, you do not need to re-enroll them.
Transitional Kindergarten (TK)
Children whose birthdays fall between September 2, 2021, and September 2, 2022 may be eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK).
Fairbanks Elementary does not offer a TK program. However, if Fairbanks is your home school, you will still need to complete the enrollment process with Fairbanks.
Once your application is processed, the district enrollment specialist will place your student at a neighboring school that offers TK for the school year.
Families may have the following transportation options:

Reimbursement for mileage

RT passes

TRUSD transportation, if available
At the end of the TK school year, students will be automatically enrolled at Fairbanks in a Kindergarten class for the following school year.
Required Enrollment Documents
The following documents are required for enrollment applications to be processed:

Birth Certificate or Verification of Age
Examples include a passport, hospital birth certificate, or other approved documentation. -
Complete Immunization Records
Immunizations must be current and up to date. Students cannot be enrolled without meeting required immunization requirements. -
Proof of Residence
Families experiencing homelessness will need to complete a Shared Residency Form and Housing Questionnaire available in the front office by request or available the first day of school.
Important
Students cannot be enrolled until all required documents have been submitted.
If any required information or documentation is missing, you will receive an email notification. You will need to log back into the enrollment application, provide the missing information or documents, and resubmit the application for processing.
